Discovery Health Check

The Discovery Health Check creates notifications about the status of the Discovery services.

To view the notifications, on the Privacera home page, in the header, click Notification.

The Critical Issues or Warnings dialog lists critical issues or warnings.

Fields in Critical Issues or Warnings#

The following are the columns in the Critical Issues or Warnings grid:

  • State: This indicates the state of notification. There are 3 states of the notification such as Ok state, Warning State and Critical state.

  • Version: Software version number.

  • Service - Component: Name of service or component such as Discovery.

  • Type: Type of issue or warning, such as process or general.

  • Last Update Time: Last time the issue or warning was updated. Hover over columns to view the exact date and time.

  • Description: Description of issue or warning.

  • Expiry Time: Expiry date of Keytab. Based on the expiry date, the state of notification is changed.

Add Keytab Expiry Date#

You need to always keep the Keytab expiry date current so you can be notified whenever the Keytab expires. 

To add the Keytab expiry date:

  1. On the Privacera home page, in the header, click Notification.

  2. Under the Expiry Time column, click the date picker and select the expiry date.

  3. Click Close.

The Keytab expiry date is updated.

Keytab Notification States#

The following are three notification: normal, warning, and critical.

Normal#

This state displays the bell icon in gray, which means no action is needed.

Warning#

This state displays the bell icon in orange. This happens 10 days before the Keytab expires. This is a warning to the user to update the Keytab before it expires to keep Privacera services running.

Critical#

This state displays the bell icon in red. This happens when Keytab has expired. This indicates that the Keytab needs to be renewed for bringing the Privacera services up and running.
