Configure Access Request Manager with External Database#

This topic covers how you can enable Access Request Manager (ARM) and configure it to use an external database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.

  1. SSH to an instance as ${USER}.

  2. To configure ARM with PostgreSQL, refer to Configure PostgreSQL or to configure ARM with MySQL, refer to Configure MySQL.

  3. Run the following commands:

    cd ~/privacera/privacera-manager
    cp config/sample-vars/vars.access-request-manager.yml config/custom-vars/
    vi config/custom-vars/vars.access-request-manager.yml
    
  4. Add/Edit the following properties. For property details and description, refer to the Configuration Properties below.

    ACCESS_REQUEST_MANAGER_ENABLE: "true"
    

    Note

    You can also add custom properties that are not included by default. See Access Request Manager.

  5. Run the following commands:

    cd ~/privacera/privacera-manager
    ./privacera-manager.sh update
